Description

Hiking on a tributary of the Papenoo, a place known as Paoi to connoisseurs, we climb up the left bank of the river through the forest, then cross to the right bank to reach the 1st waterfalls. A tricky passage where you need to rope up, then we go left towards another branch of the river to reach a large waterfall in a magnificent cirque. We then retrace our steps to continue along the main river, several cascades are visible and we go around them all until we reach a final one.

We then take the same route back.

It’s possible to do a loop, but at the moment there are too many fire ants on the descent to do it, but having never done it, maybe it’s possible for those who aren’t too sensitive to fire ant bites.
