Description
This MAHINA valley is famous for its treasure! Yes, this treasure is hidden just a 2-hour walk away, on a trail well trodden by hikers, valley hunters and wild pigs! We cross the river several times and take advantage of the natural pools to cool off! Then, at the bend in the river, the treasure of the valley is right in front of us…. An imposing wall of stone: the Basaltic Organs! This drape of rock, 40 m high and 80 m long, is made of basaltic prisms created when lava cools.
